LAKELAND, Fla. – The fourth-seeded Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team will host the fifth-seed Rollins College in the opening round of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championship. This season marks the Moccasins return to postseason play after missing out on the 2025 championship. This will be the seventh appearance overall since the SSC began sponsoring men's lacrosse in 2014.

Florida Southern wrapped up the 2026 regular season with a 5-9 overall record including a 4-3 mark in SSC play. The Moccasins have won three of their last four contests and concluded league play a perfect 4-0 at home.
The Mocs are 4-6 all-time in SSC postseason play. FSC has hosted just two SSC Tournament contests at home and the first came during the very first season of SSC play as the Mocs hosted Saint Leo in 2014 at Bryant Stadium, taking a 18-7 victory. In 2024 the Moccasins hosted their second home tournament contest and defeated Saint Leo 20-15. The Mocs have advanced to three SSC Championship games including in 2014, 2022 and 2023.
Offensively, the Mocs have been paced by junior
Maddux Walton who leads the team with 48 points including leading the team in both goals (34) and assists (14). A pair of freshmen rank two and three on the Moccasins points list with
Angus Walko and
Elijah Terry sitting second and third in goals with 24 and 22, respectively. The pair each have seven assists to their credit as well. Senior
Caiden Wiech rounds out the double-digit scorers for FSC as he concludes the regular season with 10 tallies.
In conference play, its been Walton and Terry leading the way as Walton has 17 goals in seven contests while Terry sits second with 14.
Defensively, juniors
Alex Haughn and
Will Rockwell along with graduate student
Mitchell Wallace lead the way with double-digit caused turnovers. Haughn leads the group with 16 takeaways while scooping up 37 groundballs. Rockwell has produced 12 caused turnovers with 30 groundballs while Wallace posted 10 caused turnovers and 23 groundballs this season.
Leading the way in the middle is LSM junior
Charlie Fisher who has a team-best 19 caused turnovers while also picking up four assists. He has 32 groundballs and has committed just seven turnovers. Terry has been the top offensive midfielder with his 29 points while senior
Jack Epley has chipped in 10 points including six goals.
In goal, sophomore
Luke Secreti has played nearly 589 of the 842 minutes in cage this season for the Mocs. He has compiled a 5-4 record with a 10.39 goals against average. He has made 104 saves this season with a .505 save percentage.
At the face off, its senior
Jacob Czyz leading the way as he has gone 220-of-321 (.685) at the 'X' including 102-of-155 (.658) in league action. He currently ranks second in NCAA Division II in groundballs per game (11.07) while ranking fourth in faceoff winning percentage (.685).

Rollins finished the 2026 regular season with a 7-7 overall record including 3-4 in SSC play. The Tars earned a pair of top-10 victories midway through this season including a win over No. 5 Lewis (10-9) and at No. 7 Maryville (11-9). The Tars have lost four of their last six contests including a 12-11 setback at Florida Southern on Saturday, April 11.
The Tars have appeared in nine of the 10 SSC Tournaments including making it to the last three SSC Championship games while winning the whole thing 2023. Rollins is 6-8 all-time in SSC postseason action with their most recent appearance coming last season as the No. 3 seed.
RC is paced offensively by junior Nate Paulo who leads the team in goals, 30, and points, 39. Classmate Aaron Williams ranks second on the squad in scoring with 28 goals while sophomore Logan McHugh has netted 23 goals to rank third on the squad. Sophomore Conor Sweeney is the facilitator as he has a team-best 16 assists while senior Logan Myers ranks second with 11. Overall, the Tars have three goal scorers with 20-or-more goals and five with 20-or-more points.
Defensively, five Tars have double-digit caused turnovers led by sophomore Owen Lammy with 19. Senior Dominic Cesarone ranks second with 14 while senior Craig Wexelblatt has 12.
In goal, its been a two-man rotation with junior Colin Selters leading the team with 399 minutes played while sophomore Nick Catino has seen 384 minutes of action. Catino leads the team in goals against average at 8.59 and has a .500 save percentage with 55 total saves. He has a 3-3 record this season in the cage. Selters has a 11.12 goals against average but a team-leading .529 save percentage. He has a 4-3 record this season in cage.
At the face off, Rollins sends junior Brady Greco to the middle where he has won 195-of-290 (.672) this season. He has 70 ground balls and has one assist to his credit.
Head-to-Head
The Mocs and Tars have met 22 times in men's lacrosse with both programs claiming 11 victories in the series. Rollins has won five of the last six meetings including a 13-7 victory in the 2023 SSC Championship game over the Mocs. FSC is 6-4 at home versus the Tars while the two teams are 1-1 versus each other in SSC Tournament action.
Last Meeting
Florida Southern College men's lacrosse secured a narrow 12–11 victory over No. 19 Rollins College on Saturday night at Berend Field. This victory marked the first for the Moccasins over the Tars since 2022, ending a five-game losing streak in the series. FSC overcame an early deficit, tying the game with a strong third quarter where it scored six goals. The home team maintained its lead in the fourth quarter, aided by a total of two extra-man goals throughout the matchup. RC, despite a strong start with two goals in the first quarter, fell short in the close contest.
Junior
Maddux Walton led the Moccasins with three goals, including an extra-man and an unassisted goal, on nine shots. Senior
Nolan Tighe scored a season-high three goals in the victory, matching Walton's contribution, and converted all of them unassisted. Senior
Jacob Czyz controlled the midfield by winning 13 of 23 faceoffs. Junior
Vinnie Muscella added a decisive touch with the game-winning goal, the second winning tally of the season for the Port Deposit, Md. native.
Sophomore
Luke Secreti was outstanding in the cage as he made a game-high 12 saves to earn his fourth victory of the season. Junior
Will Rockwell held down the defense with three caused turnovers.
2026 SSC Tournament
The 12th Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament opens April 18th with first-round matchups hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Semifinals will be played Wednesday, April 22nd, at the campuses of the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The championship game is set for Saturday, April 25th, at the site of the highest remaining seed.
Four of the six teams in the 2026 SSC Men's Lacrosse Championship are featured in the national rankings from United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
At the top of the bracket sits the University of Tampa, which claimed the regular-season title outright after an undefeated run through conference play. The Spartans capped the regular season with a 6-5 win over Florida Tech to secure the No. 1 seed. Tampa has now captured at least a share of the regular-season crown nine times since the sport's debut in 2014 and enters the postseason ranked No. 2 in the nation. The Spartans are also in pursuit of their 10th tournament title, having won every championship except 2023*.
Florida Tech earned the No. 2 seed after finishing just behind Tampa in the standings. The Panthers enter the tournament ranked No. 7 nationally and, along with the Spartans, receive a first-round bye and hosting rights for the semifinals.
The opening round features two recent rematches.
No. 3 Saint Leo University hosts No. 6 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University after the Lions picked up a 15-12 win over the Eagles on April 11th. Saint Leo finished 5-2 in conference play and enters the tournament ranked No. 16, while Embry-Riddle closed at 2-5.
No. 4 Florida Southern College welcomes No. 5 Rollins College in the other first-round matchup. The Mocs edged the Tars 12-11 last week, though Rollins claimed the earlier meeting between the two in nonconference play. Rollins also received votes in the latest USILA rankings.
