ATLANTA, Ga. – The 2025-26 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls were announced with Florida Southern College second among all NCAA Division II programs.
The Moccasins recorded a 3.849 team GPA for the 2025-26 academic year, barely behind the NCAA leader, Mercy, who had a 3.853. Recording the best team GPA in the Sunshine State Conference, the Mocs had a strong academic presence, placing 12 on the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, four College Sports Communicators Academic All-District winners, and one CSC Academic All-American. The second-place ranking for the WBCA Honor Roll marks an incredible feat for FSC, capping a memorable season for the Mocs.
The 2025-26 Florida Southern women's basketball team had a great season, finishing 23-8 overall and 15-5 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Mocs advanced to the SSC tournament championship game, ranking among the best teams in the NCAA South Region to make a regional appearance. The 23 wins are the best since the 2018-19 season, winning nine of the last 10 games heading into the conference tournament.

Carlota Gomez Alonso were named All-SSC for their work leading the team, with Gomes named All-Region and All-America by the WBCA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach, who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

"The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate membership divisions strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"
