Defending National Champions Men's Golf Tabbed First in Bushnell/Golfweek Preseason Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. - The defending National Champion Florida Southern men's golf team enters the 2026-27 season tabbed first in Division II after their 14th National Championship title in May. The Moccasins received 430 points (and 13 first-place votes) in the Bushnell / Golfweek preseason coaches poll. 

The two other schools receiving first-place votes were Lee (2), whom Florida Southern faced in the national semifinal round, and Wingate (1), whom FSC faced in the National Championship round. 

Nova Southeastern (7) and Saint Leo (11) round out the Sunshine State Conference teams inside the top-25. Rollins, Lynn, Tampa, Eckerd, and Embry-Riddle were all receiving votes, representing the rest of the conference in the poll. 

Florida Southern opens the 2026-27 campaign on Sept. 28-29 at the National Preview at the PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla.
