KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Florida Southern College men's and women's soccer teams were announced by the United Soccer Coaches as College Team Academic Award winners.
 
Both programs were recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. The men's soccer team posted a team GPA of 3.60, and the women's team a 3.57 GPA.
 
The 19^th time in men's soccer history to receive the Team Academic Award, the Mocs had a strong 2025-26 academic year, with six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Ryan Fitzgerald, Daniel Shabani, Lasse Dettmer, Pablo Overfeld, Hector Oliver, and Tim Baierlein were named CSC All-District, with 27 total student-athletes named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
On the women's side, the Mocs have been awarded the Team Academic Award 13 times in program history. Jasmin Adames, Allie Draper, Frankie Gatien, Isabella Payne, Megan Rhonemus, and Aliya Roberts were named as CSC Academic All-District, with 28 total student-athletes named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
A total of 777 soccer teams (326 men, 451 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Of that total, 175 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
