A fast start for the Indianapolis Greyhounds proved to be too much for the Moccasins to overcome and FSC dropped a 78-60 decision Saturday in the Holiday Inn South Classic at Jenkins Field House. 

The Greyhounds took the lead less than two minutes into the game and led the rest of the way to snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 5-3 on the season.  The Moccasins saw their three-game winning streak halted and dropped to 6-2.

After the Moccasins scored the game's first basket, Indianapolis went on a 11-2 run in less than four minutes and had the lead in double digits with 13:32 left in the first half and the Moccasins never got closer than 11 points the rest of the game.  The Greyhounds led 39-27 at halftime and led by as many as 26 in the second half.

The Greyhounds shot 57.1% from the field in the first half and shot an even better 58.1% in the second half, finishing the game at 57.6%.  The Moccasins shot a respectable 45.5% from the field, but were just two of 12 from three-point range, were out-rebounded 32-24 and committed a season-high 24 turnovers.

Indianapolis had four players score in double figures, led by Kaleigh Andrews' 16 points off the bench.  Samantha Meissel and Cayla Keegan each scored 15 and Katy McIntosh added 14.

Michaela Hawley led FSC with 14 points.  Taylor Maldonado scored 12, marking her fourth straight game off the bench in double figures, and Chelsea Johnson tossed in 10.

In Saturday's second game, Tampa led from start to finish and topped St. Augustine's 69-60 behind a 30-point effort from Gianna Messina.  The Spartans improved to 6-2, while St. Augustine's dropped to 5-3.  Allison Sikes and Keyona Bryant led the Lady Falcons with 16 points apiece.

Sunday in the Holiday Inn South Classic, Tampa and Indianapolis play at noon with the Moccasins taking on St. Augustine's at 2 p.m.
