The second-ranked Moccasins took advantage of nine errors by Pace to score eight unearned runs en route to a 19-2 win over the Setters Friday night at Henley Field.
The win was the Moccasins' eighth straight this season without a loss, while Pace was playing its first game of the season.
The first inning set the tone for the rest of the game, as the Moccasins scored three runs and Pace committed four errors in the inning. The Moccasins went on to score in every inning but the fifth.
Wade Kirkland was the offensive leader for the Mocs, with four hits and four runs scored. Trae Gore had two hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs. Adam Miller, who entered the game in the seventh inning as a pinch hitter, also had two hits. Kelvin Clark followed Gore's leadoff homer in the third with his third home run of the season.
Gus Schlosser worked six innings, scattered four hits and allowed just one unearned run, to raise his record to 3-0. Freshman Mike Czenszak made his Moccasin debut and pitched the final three innings, giving up no hits and one unearned run.
The Moccasins and Pace will play a doubleheader Saturday at 2 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m.
