Agnese Rozite won the deciding match with a straight-set victory at No. 1 singles to give the Moccasins a 5-4 win over St. Edward's (Texas) Saturday at the FSC Courts.
Rozite topped Paige Rachel 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 to give FSC a 5-2 advantage before St. Edward's posted a pair of wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles in the final two matches.
With the win the 12th-ranked Moccasins improved to 2-1 on the season. St. Edward's is 0-4.
FSC won two of the three doubles matches with the wins coming at No. 1 from Rozite and Sabine Goge and at No. 3 from Crystal Copeland and Laura Wichmann. They split the six singles matches with Goge at No. 2 and Wichmann at No. 4 posting wins in addition to Rozite.
The Moccasins play Lake Superior State Monday at 10 a.m. on the FSC Courts.
