LAKELAND, Fla. — No. 6 Florida Southern women's tennis (14-3) secured a decisive 6-1 victory over Lincoln Memorial (9-9) on Thursday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. Florida Southern captured the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches and dominated singles play by winning five of the six matches.

Emily Jennewein and
Ronja Scheuermann quickly defeated Mar Garcia Bucosa and Alexandra Ortiz, 6-1, setting the tone for the match. The No. 1 doubles team of
Kennedi Brown and
Josie Holderbach, ranked No. 25 nationally, followed with a 6-3 win over Adriana Pellizzari and Natalia Reimer, clinching the doubles point for Florida Southern.
In singles play, the Moccasins extended their lead as
Annika Berrendorf triumphed at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 5-2, over Alexandra Ortiz. Jennewein, ranked No. 35, continued the momentum at No. 3 singles, securing a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Rosal Carrier-Dulac. Scheuermann added another point at No. 2 singles, defeating Mia Rodriguez 6-2, 6-0, pushing the dual match score to 4-0.
Jolie Miller ensured the home team's dominance with a win at No. 5 singles, 7-5, 6-0 over Laura Nastrini, while Holderbach, ranked No. 22, added a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles against Adriana Pellizzari. Although the Railsplitters' Mar Garcia Bucosa claimed a point at No. 6 singles with a 9-7 win over
Diana Volkov, the Moccasins' commanding performance cemented a 5-1 final dual score.
