PENSACOLA â€" Giving up just two points in the entire match, and getting four shutout wins in singles, 11th-ranked Florida Southern rolled to a 9-0 win over Lambuth (TN) Friday afternoon, kicking off a three-match road trip over the final weekend of the regular season.

Lambuth (4-13), a school in transition from NAIA status to NCAA Division II, fielded a lineup with just five players, forcing the Eagles to default at #3 doubles and #6 singles. The Moccasins then easily won each of the seven matches played, beginning with Joalis Dominguez and Veronika Kovacikova’s 8-0 win at the #2 doubles position.

After that, Dominguez, Kovacikova, Crystal Copeland and Sabine Goge all won their singles matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0. Agnese Rozite also won her match at the top singles flight, 6-0, 6-1. That allowed the Moccasins (13-4) to post their fourth shutout win of the season.

The Moccasins will remain in Pensacola for two more matches, facing 7th-ranked West Florida on Saturday at 2:00 central time, and Montevallo (AL) on Sunday morning at 8:30.
