MACON, GA – It was a Sunday of consolation matches for the Florida Southern women's tennis teams in day three of the Mercer Bear Gridiron Classic played here Sunday on the campus of Mercer University. The matches were scheduled for Saturday, but were postponed due to weather.

Linnea Skymberg got the consolation matches off to a good start for Florida Southern when she beat Daniela Caruso of Coastal Georgia, 6-3, 6-2, while Shannon Griffin also won her match, 6-3, 6-2, vs. Kelsey McCray of Berry College. Selin Devrimici fell in her match, 7-5, 7-6 (4), to Nicolin Luecke of Charleston Southern and Katie Stanford dropped a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 match to Daniella Arcila of Savannah College of Art & Design.
