LAKELAND – The Florida Southern men's soccer game scheduled for Sunday afternoon with the University of West Florida has been cancelled due to inclement weather and field conditions. Heavy rain and lightning hit Lakeland during the late morning hours, and rain continued into the early afternoon. At approximately 1:40, after consultation with game officials, coaches, and Florida Southern administrators, the decision was made to cancel the match.

Florida Southern will now prepare for Sunshine State Conference play, which begins Wednesday night in Davie with a 7 p.m. match against Nova Southeastern.
