HOW IT HAPPENED

The Mocs limited the Tars to just 10 points in the second quarter en route to a 30-20 halftime lead.
• Florida Southern saw its lead dip back to single digits on two occassions in the third quarter, but both times the Mocs were able to stop Rollins' momentum and used a 10-2 run at the 6:23 mark to turn a 36-27 edge into a sizeable 46-29 advantage. However, the Tars outscored the Moccasins 12-3 over the last three minutes of the quarter to cut FSC's lead to 49-41 heading into the fourth quarter.
• The Mocs clamped down defensively over the final 10 minutes of play, holding Rollins to just 10 pooints in the fourth quarter. The Tars were able to get within eight points (55-47) with just under six minutes to go, but Florida Southern scored eight of the final 12 points to seal the win.
