LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern's Lorena Rionda saw her run in the ITA South Region Championships come to a close on Saturday with a 6-4, 6-1 quarterfinal loss to Natalie Espinal of Nova Southeastern. Also, Natalija Popovic fell, 7-5, 5-7, 10-4 to Daniel Obanda, also of Nova Southeastern, in her second match of the tournament after a win in her opening match on Friday.

In doubles, Selin Devrimci and Minnie Kim were toppled by Marta Vicens Miquel and Madeleine Gauthier of Saint Leo by an 8-6 score while Magda Stepnik and Rionda were defeated, 8-5, by Elenore Barrere and Julie Razafindranaly from Barry.
