WINTER PARK, Fla. - Florida Southern College women's tennis kicked off doubles action on Friday afternoon at the Varner Memorial Invitational at the John Tiedtke Courts. The pairing of Minnie Kim and Mathilda Vidgren will face off against Gabby Hesse and Laura Vetter in a third-place all-Moccasin matchup on Sunday. The Mocs will now turn to singles action all-day on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Doubles flight A saw both Moccasin pairings compete, with Hesse and Vetter advancing in the opening round with an 8-0 domination of Selby and Reichert from Eckerd. The pairing then fell in the semifinal round in a close 8-7 match that the Rollins duo of Borg and Durzynski won with a 7-2 tiebreaker. Kim and Vidgren, after a first round bye, fell 8-6 to Groth and Lepore of Rollins in their semifinal match.
