DAYTONA BEACH, FL - A close contest on Thursday afternoon ended in favor of the home side as Florida Southern College men's tennis narrowly lost 4-3 to Embry-Riddle. The Moccasins (3-6, 1-2 SSC) won the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights but were not able to overcome losing the top three singles flights and doubles point to the Eagles (2-4, 1-1 SSC).
Oscar Sohl continued to dominate in singles play this season, improving to 5-1 on the season after winning in three sets over Mickael Faucher. Freshman Lennart Vossgäetter made his Moccasin debut in the No. 6 single flight and defeated Tim Loerwink in two sets to earn his first collegiate win.
