WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis competed in doubles action on the first day of the Fall Sailfish Invitational at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The pairings of Miroslav Cvjetan and Chase Martin, as well as Valentin Hertweck and Erik Nordblom, were the doubles winners of the day for the Moccasins. Tournament action continues today as the Mocs prepare for singles fixtures.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Cvjetan and Martin advanced to the No. 3 Doubles flight final after defeating doubles pairing from Lynn (8-6) and Rollins (8-4). The duo will face Perez/Bilis from Saint Leo on Sunday at 8 p.m. for the flight final.
• Hertweck and Nordblom, paired for the first time as Moccasins, kicked off the tournament with a victory over Vega/Trustfull from Saint Leo, but fell to Carlsten/Hasegawa from Palm Beach Atlantic in the semifinals of the No. 2 Doubles flight. They wil face Danielson and McLeod from Rollins this Sunday at 8 a.m. in the third-place match
• The pairings Danny Thomas and Oscar Sohl, as well as Brian Pham and Brandon Pham, dropped their opening matches of the tournament and will play in seventh-place matches on Sunday in the No. 3 and No. 1 Doubles flights.
