LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College women's tennis won its fifth-straight match on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping Bluefield State at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. The Moccasins (6-4) earned their third sweep of the season in the 7-0 win over the Big Blues (1-9).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mathilda Vidgren and Magda Stepnik cruised in the No. 3 doubles flight with a 6-0 sweep while Flor Salerno and Diana Baumgartnere won 6-2 in the No. 1 flight to clinch the doubles point. Minnie Kim and Laura Vetter earned a 6-4 decision in the No. 2 flight.
- Lola Asis kicked off singles with a dominant, 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 5 flight. Isabella Bolivar followed shortly after with two 6-1 sets in the No. 4 flight. The Mocs clinched the match after Vetter won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 1 flight.
- Kim earned a 6-2, 6-1 decision in the No. 2 flight and Stepnik closed out the No. 3 flight with a 6-2, 6-0 victory. The Moccasins sealed the sweep after Gabby Hesse won the No. 6 flight, 6-1, 6-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Hesse is now 3-0 in singles play this season.
- The Mocs move to 5-0 all-time against the Big Blues.

The Mocs will host Tarleton State on Thursday at 3 p.m. before concluding the three-game homestand on Friday with a 5 p.m. contest against Augustana.
