KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Florida Southern College men's basketball team will begin the 2021-22 season ranked 23
rd in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Preseason Coaches Poll announced yesterday.
Returning nine players from last year's team, the Mocs look forward to having a full schedule. "We are very excited for the upcoming season," says head coach
Mike Donnelly. "Our goal right now is to just make sure we are focused and prepared every day in practice…we have spent the majority of our time this preseason working on our defensive execution, so I do expect our defense to be ahead of our offense when we start the season on Nov. 12
th."
Nova Southeastern, ranked 13
th in the NABC poll, is the only other Sunshine State Conference representative in the national rankings. Last year, the Mocs were ranked 4

Florida Southern opens the 2021-22 season by participating in the SSC/Gulf South Challenge at Eckerd on November 12-13
