The loss marks the first one for the Moccasins in 2021 after starting the season with three consecutive wins. Florida Southern is now 3-1-0 and the Dustdevils move to 1-1-0 on the season.
How It Happened
- Florida Southern had the game's first scoring chances as senior Caitlyn Lowery fired a pair of shots in the first sixteen minutes of the match that featured more than an hour lightning delay.
- The Mocs put the pressure on the Dustdevils as FSC recorded four shots while keeping the TAMIU to none in the final 24 minutes of the first half.
- Just 61 seconds into the second half FSC goalie Jenny Staten made her first save of the half to keep the score at 0-0.
- In the 49th minute, the Dustdevils' Nicole Cohen slotted a shot from above the box and found the back of the net to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage.
- The Moccasins countered with back-to-back shots by Haley Eckel and Haley Thomassy in the 57th minute.
- In the final minutes the Mocs attacked and challenged the Dustdevils, but their defense stood tall denying the Mocs a successful chance to tie the game.

- For the third time this season, Florida Southern registered at least 20 shots in a game. Against the Dustdevils, the Mocs logged 20 shots versus eight from Texas A&M – International.
- Junior goalie Jenny Staten and the Mocs made history tonight as they set the new program record for consecutive scoreless minutes which ended at 431.48 minutes.
- Senior captain Rachel Peck played her 50th career game tonight, which is the most of any current player on the roster.
