SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's tennis team concluded the fall portion of its 2022-23 schedule at the Saint Leo Hidden Duals this past weekend at the Saint Leo Tennis Center.
The Mocs had a great showing in the hidden duals, hosted by Saint Leo University, with several wins and continued preparation for the spring 2023 season. Participating schools included Saint Leo, Florida Southern, Rollins College, and Hillsborough Community College.
Day one of the competition saw
Isabella Bolivar,
Kelly Klaren, and
Kennedi Brown with first-round wins after winning each of their respective flights in two sets.
Vivien Charvatova also had a first-round win after split sets went to a tiebreaker, which Charvatova won 10-7.
The second day of competition had a new round of opponents for the teams, as
Laia Pasini,
Laura Vetter,
Jolie Miller, and
Olivia Bryant won their flights. Both Miller and Vetter battled with split set wins against their opponents, but each came out on top with a win. Charvatova and Brown continued their great weekend with day two wins as well. On the last day of the hidden duals, Klaren won her flight to round out singles competition.
In doubles play, the Mocs had four pairings win, with Pasini / Vetter,
Neli Sunjic / Charvatova,
Maxima Ellenberg / Miller, and Brown / Klaren. Pasini paired with Ellenberg on day two for the Moccasins last flight win of the weekend.
The Mocs will await the release of its spring portion of the 2022-23 schedule, preparing for the 2023 SSC and NCAA season.
