LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College women's tennis star
Josie Holderbach has been recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II All-American, with today's final rankings being released.
Â
Holderbach joins 11 other FSC All-Americans for the women's tennis program, the third straight year a Moccasin has been recognized (
Olivia Bryant – 2025, Laia Pasini – 2024). Holderbach finished No. 15 in the national rankings, among the nation's best women's tennis athletes.
Â
"What a great addition to the Mocs," said head coach
Trish Riddell on Holderbach's contribution to the team this season. "Josie started strong in the fall and continued to show her talent in the spring, being the first non-senior since 2013 from FSC women's tennis to receive All-American status. Josie competed with the best in the country and earned this recognition with hard work and dedication to her game. I cannot wait to see Josie return for her senior season!"
Â
Joining the team after time at Southern Arkansas, Holderbach was a strong point at the #1 court of the lineup. She had an 11-6 overall record, with four wins over nationally ranked opponents. She was ranked as high as No. 18 during the regular season, continuing to elevate her game in the final weeks and matches to secure the All-American nod. The Götzingen, Germany native was named All-Sunshine State Conference First Team in singles and Second Team for doubles, while being named the ITA Most Improved Player for the South Region. For her work in the classroom, Holderbach was recognized on the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Â
As a team, the Moccasins had a great 2026 season, finishing with a 17-6 overall record, matching last year's feat. FSC finished just shy of an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament but shone in the regular season with a 6-3 record in the Sunshine State Conference, making an appearance in the third-place match against Nova Southeastern University. The six SSC wins in 2026 were the most by the Mocs since the 2019 season.
