JACKSON, Tenn. – The 2022 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) has announced Henri Tophoven from the Florida Southern College men's soccer team to the Men's Soccer All-South Region Team. The teams were voted on by the sports communicators in the south region.
Tophoven had an incredible season with three offensive player of the week awards in the Sunshine State Conference and a United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year recognition for his hat trick early in the season against Alabama-Huntsville.
Tophoven was one of two forwards on the first team and was the only Moccasin to be named to the All-South Region Team.
On the pitch, Tophoven led the Mocs for the season offensively with 16 goals. The Brüggen, Germany native finished with three assists, and 35 points, shooting a .482 on-goal percentage for the graduate student taking the most shots of any Moc with 56.
Tophoven was one of the top performers in the NCAA finishing tied for second in goals per game (1.0), and fifth in points per game (2.19) to be the only SSC player to place in the top five in two categories in the NCAA.
