MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Southern College redshirt senior E.J. Dambreville was named the Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week announced by the league's office on November 21.
 
The Dorchester, Mass. native led the Moccasins (4-0, 1-0 SSC) to a pair of wins on the week, including a 100-98 road win at Clayton State on November 15 before defeating Palm Beach Atlantic in the conference opener on November 19 at home, 73-72.
 
Dambreville averaged a double-double for the week with 24.0 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. Overall, he had 48 points, 21 rebounds, three assists, and two steals on the week (Nov. 13-20). Shooting red-hot from the field, the redshirt senior guard shot 63.6-percent (21-33) from the field including a 33.3-percent (3-9) from beyond the arc and a 75.0-percent (3-4) from the free throw line.
 
In the road win over Clayton State, Dambreville scored a career-high 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting while hauling seven boards for the Moccasins in 35 minutes of action. Against PBA in the SSC opener, he finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds while playing 39 of the 40 minutes.
 
Dambreville is the second FSC men's basketball student-athlete selected as SSC Player of the Week, joining Jadin Booth, who earned the honor Nov. 7 after the first action of the year. This is Dambreville's second SSC Player of the Week honor in his career.
 
Florida Southern sits at 4-0 on the year with a 1-0 mark in the early Sunshine State Conference game while looking to host the Terrace Hotel Thanksgiving Classic inside the George W. Jenkins Field House Nov. 25-26. Four teams will play four games where the Mocs welcome SSC foe, Saint Leo, as well as Anderson University and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to campus. Florida Southern tips on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Anderson. Saint Leo and Wisconsin-Parkside will play first at 5:30 p.m.
