LAKELAND Fla. - Florida Southern Softball fell in the final game of the Sunshine State Conference series against Barry on Monday night with a 4-1 decision.

Jadin Dewith and sophomore
Skyler Ralstin led the way, both going 3-for-4 from the plate. The Mocs outhit the Bucs for the second time during the series with 13 hits to Barry's 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The bats of the Moccasins came to life first in the bottom of the second when Ralstin and
Maddi Conner hit back-to-back singles to put FSC into scoring position. Florida Southern loaded the bases with a single-to-right field from
Jessica Bryson but runners were stranded with nothing coming across for the Mocs.
In the top of the third, a double scored two runners for Barry, followed by a sac fly to give the Bucs a 3-0 lead heading into the bottom of the inning.
Dewith started the inning off with a single to right field and advanced to scoring position after a bunt from shortstop
Kelsey Peck. With two outs and runners at second and first, Ralstin hit an RBI single to left-center field cutting the Bucs lead to 3-1.
FSC continued to put the pressure on Barry's defense but no runs were able to come across home plate as the Mocs loaded the bases with just one in the bottom of the fifth.
In the final inning, the Bucs were able to score additional insurance run on an RBI groundout to close out the series going 3-0.
