JACKSON, Tenn. – Whitney Jacob and Julia Jenike were named to the 2022 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Basketball All-South Region Teams. Jacob and Jenike both were named to the second-team D2CCA All-Region the organization announced Thursday, March 10. The teams were voted on by the sports information directors in the south region.

Nine different south region schools had a representative with Florida Southern College the only school with two honorees.

Jacob has led the team with her offensive performances all season long as the graduate student was named Sunshine State Conference Newcomer of the Year along with being named to the All-Newcomer Team in the SSC. The Parker Colo. native won numerous awards this season including four player of the week awards and being placed on the All-SSC First Team as well as the SSC All-Tournament team. Jacob is averaging 16.5 points per game and shooting 43.4 percent from the field on the season. 

Jenike, who has seen success during her entire career as a Moc. was also named to the All-Region Second Team for the D2CCA. Jenike is averaging 15 points per game while shooting 43.1 percent from the field. The Cincinnati, Ohio native scored her 1,000th Moccasin career point earlier this season and now totals 1,235 points for FSC. Jenike also was named to the SSC All-Tournament Team and All-SSC First Team this season.
