LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Southern College softball pitching staff led the Mocs to an extra-inning doubleheader split against Rollins College on Sunday afternoon.
Macayla Brady hit a walk-off single to close out game one of the doubleheader with a 4-3 eight-inning win for the Mocs. In-game two FSC battled in 12 innings but fell short 4-5 to the Tars.
With the split, Florida Southern sits at 14-18 on the year and 3-12 in the Sunshine State Conference.

Jadin Dewith hit a 2 run RBI single that scored
Kiki Morris and
Jadyn Bushnell who reached on a fielder's choice and single through the right side. With the Mocs up 2-0 to open up the game, the Tars scored to cut the Mocs lead in half on a double to right-center field.
Florida Southern scored again to increase their lead in the bottom of the fourth when
Victoria Rodriguez slid into home on a two-out wild pitch to make it 2-1.
In the next inning, Rollins singled to center field and doubled to left-center to tie the game at 3. Freshman
Macayla Brady steps in to pinch hit for the Mocs, scoring
Destiny Colgate on a walk-off single up the middle to finish 4-3 in eight innings of play.
FLORIDA SOUTHERN 4, ROLLINS 5
The Mocs started with a 1-0 lead, scoring on an error by the Tars' third base player. Rollins tied the game on a wild pitch from FSC that made it 1-1 after three innings of play in game two.
In the third inning, a triple to center field gave the Tars another run to take a 2-1 lead over the Mocs for their first lead of the day. The score stayed at 2-1 until the sixth inning when the Tars hit a home run over the left-field fence to increase their lead to 3-1.

Frankie Raeckers hit a sacrifice fly to score
Delaney Asbury. With Bushnell in scoring position after the sac fly, she scored after moving on a double from
Kelsey Peck and an RBI single from
Jessica Bryson to tie the game and send it into extras.
The game was tied at 3-all until the 12th inning when Rollins scored two runs on an RBI single to make it 5-3. The Mocs looked to tie the game again in the bottom of the inning after
Maddi Conner singled up the middle to score
Skyler Ralstin with no outs. The next three batters couldn't bring Colgate home who was stranded at second on a single down the left-field line and finished the game 5-4 in 12 innings.
The Mocs were led by Colgate who went 5-for-10 from the plate with one run scored in two games. In the circle, FSC threw every pitcher on the staff with Melanie Rogers taking the win in game one pitching two innings and striking out two on the day.

Florida Southern will return to action on Friday, April 8 when they host Palm Beach Atlantic for the SSC series. The first pitch is set for 6:00 pm for a single game.
