DAVIE, Fla. – Sixteen teams took to the course Monday with ambition to play 36 holes at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla. where a two-hour delay in the morning round wound up pushing the golf too late into the night to finish with one complete round. Teams were 3-6 holes into round two when play was officially suspended. Florida Southern College men's golf was in first place by two strokes after posting an even-par 284 for round one.

Three Moccasins are tied for third at one-under after posting rounds of 70 on the par-71 6,731-yard course.
Adam Alvarez,
Max Barile, and
Tyler Mistretta are tied for the team lead with 12 total birdies combined between the trio. Alvarez had three birdies and one eagle, on the par-5 530 15
th hole while Mistretta paced the team with five birdies for the round.

Donte Groppuso, in his first tournament as a Moccasins, is tied for 36
th with
Bryce Walker after carding rounds of 74 (+3). The duo each had one birdie while Walker recorded an eagle on the par-4 305 13
th hole.

The Mocs are two strokes ahead of Shorter, 286 (+2), while the two teams are ahead of No. 25 Tampa in third place at 289 (+5).
