Jadin Booth and
Alex Steen both earned Sunshine State Conference (SSC) weekly accolades as Booth was named the SSC Player of the Week and Steen the Defensive Player of the Week.

Jadin Booth, a redshirt junior from Omaha, Neb., was selected as the Player of the Week for the third time of his career after concluding the weekend as the Small College Basketball (SCB) Hall of Fame (HoF) Classic Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season. It's the first time in the tournaments seven-year history a player was named the MVP two times.

The guard started the weekend and his junior campaign off with a game-high 30 points as Florida Southern defeated Virginia Union 79-62. He went on to score a game-high 38 points in an 87-82 win against No. 8 UNC Pembroke.

Booth totaled 68 points by shooting 54% from the field (19-35), 58% from behind the arc (11-19), and 95% from the free-throw line (19-20). His 68 points tied the tournament record for points in a weekend while his 38 points against the Braves tied for third all-time in a single game in the tournament.

He averaged 34.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals while playing 39.5 minutes per game.

Alex Steen, a sophomore from Panama City Beach, Fla., was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Steen concluded his weekend with being named to the SCB HoF Classic All-Tournament team.

The forward registered three blocks, a steal, and 10 defensive rebounds at the event to help lead Florida Southern to victories over Virginia Union (79-62) and No. 8 UNC Pembroke (87-82).

Offensively, Steen totaled 29 points and pulled 10 offensive rebounds for 20 total across the two games.

He averaged 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks while playing 30.5 minutes per game.

Florida Southern returns to action Friday, at 3:30 p.m. at George W. Jenkins Field House as the Moccasins host Savannah State.
