ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Southern men's track team had a number of strong performances on day one of the UCF Knights Invite in Orlando, Fla. Friday night. The Moccasins earned four top-10 finishers in a field that featured several strong teams from throughout the state of Florida.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Senior Alex Guy led a group of four Moccasins in the 1500m. The senior took fifth overall while crossing the finish line in 3:55.58. Junior Owen Allen finished just three spots back in eighth for another top-10 finisher as he clocked in at 3:56.96. Freshman Anthony Matthew took 15th in the event with a time of 3:59.38 while freshman Chris Colavita finished six spots behind in 21st after stopping the clock at 4:06.38.
- Freshman Caleb Brady took on the 3000m steeplechase for the second time this season and took second overall after completing the tough race in 9:36.23.
- Freshman Karl van Gelder led a group of six Mocs in the 5000m to close out the opening night. The rookie earned a top-10 finish while placing seventh overall in 15:20.55. Sophomore Seth Augustynowski was next to cross for FSC as he took 13th after crossing the line in 15:41.73. Sophomore Aiden Redmond finished four spots back in 17th after stopping the clock at 15:57.68. Sophomore Caden Kwiatkowski rounded out the top-20 in 20th at 16:08.88. Senior David Pautienus came in two spots behind Kwiatkowski in 22nd at 16:20.20 while junior Luke Dickinson rounded out the FSC finishers in 28th with a time of 16:38.34.
