ATLANTA, Ga. – The Florida Southern men's track team faced a loaded field at the Georgia Tech Invite Friday night that featured several NCAA Division I programs along with some strong NCAA Division II in-region competition.        Â

TOP PERFORMERS
- Senior Alex Guy and junior Bryson Yamnitz opened up competition for the Mocs Friday night in the 1500m. Guy crossed the line in 26th with a time of 3:57.15. Yamnitz came in five spots back in 31st after stopping the clock at 3:57.78.
- Freshman Caleb Brady was the lone Moccasin in the 3000m steeplechase as he finished 18th overall after completing the distance in 9:54.83.
- Junior Owen Allen led a quartet of Mocs in the 5000m as he earned a top-20 finish in 19th. Allen clocked in at 14:50.73. Freshman Christian Giller was the next FSC finisher as he placed 26th and finished just under seven seconds behind Allen in 14:57.52. Freshman Chris Colavita crossed the line in 15:08.16 to take 40th while fellow freshman Karl van Gelder turned in a time of 15:41.45 to place 72nd.
