MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference has released the All-SSC women's tennis teams with Florida Southern College's Laura Vetter and Maxima Ellenberg named to Second Team Doubles. Olivia Bryant was also named to the All-SSC Honorable Mention for singles.
Ellenberg and Vetter paired for an 8-3 record at the #1 court, including 2-2 in conference. Ranked in the top 50 of doubles pairings in Division II, they finished the season with a 27th ITA national doubles ranking. Both battle at #1 against No. 1 Barry and No. 6 Lynn before an eight-match win streak in doubles, including a 6-3 win over No. 23 Rollins.
Bryant had a great year with the Mocs and finished the year ranked 50th among Division II singles players. The Gainesville, Fla. native had a team-high 15 wins with a 15-3 overall record, and 7-2 in conference play. She nearly upset No. 21 Farfan from Barry to open the season and had a ranked win over No. 33 singles player Snita in three sets during FSC's match against No. 5 Nova Southeastern.
Mocs finished the 2023 season with a 13-6 overall record and were ranked as high as 13th in the nation according to ITA poll. After opening the season 0-2, FSC won the next 11 games in a row ahead of conference play.
