Arielle Dabu rallies late sinking three 3-pointers in the final minutes earning the junior guard a career-high of 21 points in a fight from the jump; falling to Lynn University 71-67 in Sunshine State Conference action.

The Moccasins (9-6, 2-6) got an early lead with
Amari Jackson continuing her hot shooting from Wednesday night to get up 2-0 thirteen seconds into the game. It would be a rally with the Fighting Knights (8-7, 3-4) early as they tied it up 2-2.
Domenica Zamora shot a three to take back FSC's lead but Lynn continued to inch close to the Mocs lead.Â

Dabu hit her first shot with a jumper that contributed to her career-high, but the Fighting Knights turned it around to tie the game 7-all before taking a 9-7 lead with just under six minutes in the first quarter.Â

Lynn continued to gain onto their lead to end the quarter, earning as much as a 13-point lead but ended the first 25-16 on top of FSC.Â

In the second quarter, the Mocs fought back to tie the game 28-all going on a 12-0 run as Zamora hit a three to tie. The Fighting Knights stopped the scoring drought but
Na'Haviya Paxton tied it up once again making it 30-30 with 5:10 remaining in the second quarter. Lynn jumped back out to a three-point lead as
Marissa Jenike tied it for the third time in the quarter.

Dabu's first shot beyond the arc gave FSC the first advantage since early in the game with a 36-35 deficit. That was the last lead the Mocs saw as they tied the game two more times before heading into the halftime break, down by two, 41-39.Â

Jackson started the third quarter the same way she did the game with a jumper to tie. A Dabu three allowed FSC to jump out to a one-point advantage once again. Lynn kept fighting going on an 18-6 run to end the quarter up 61-50.Â

In the final quarter, the Mocs continued to fight back but the Fighting Knight's offense got out to a 13-point lead with 2:31 on the clock. Dabu single-handly closed in on Lynn hitting three 3-pointers in under two minutes of play to come within four, before the clock ran out and the Mocs fell 71-67.Â

Dabu led the way with 21 points going 5-for-7 from the three, Jackson followed with 12 points.
Anna Denes came away with 10 boards to lead the defensive side.Â

The Mocs hit the road for three consecutive games first heading to Miami to face Barry University on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
