Mistretta Completes Day 2 of 2024 NCAA National Championship

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Florida Southern's Tyler Mistretta completed his second round of the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge.

Tyler Mistretta, a native of North Palm Beach, Fla., carded a second round 74 (+3) and is in 65th place after 36 holes with a 146 (+4).

Mistretta started his Wednesday round with a rocky front nine that featured six pars and three bogey's, shooting a 38 (+3). He would open his back nine with back-to-back bogey's but found his rhythm in the final seven holes making five par's and two birdies to shoot an even-par 36 on the back and escape with just a three-over score.

He will close out the 2024 season with his final round scheduled for an 8:58 a.m. tee time Thursday where he will play with Harding University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. When he completes his round, Mistretta will close the books on the 2023-24 Florida Southern Moccasins athletic season as the last competing athlete.

Wyatt Provence (West Texas A&M) holds a three-stroke lead heading into the final 18 after round of 67 and 66. Oklahoma Christian remains atop the team standings at 552 (-16) and will look to lead the 10 advancing teams into the quarterfinal and semifinal medal/match play slated for Friday.
