LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's soccer head coach Ashley Holmes '12 has announced the team's schedule for the 2024 season. The Moccasins' season will jump into the season early with two non-conference matches on Berend Field.
 
"We are very excited about the 2024 season," stated Holmes. "We have a large returning class of excellent players, as well as some fantastic additions to our squad. We begin our schedule with two weekends of strong GSC match ups before our SSC opener. The SSC schedule will be as challenging as ever, but we will be up for the task. With the dedication and hard work of our players and staff, we are ready to make this season a memorable one."
 
The 16-match slate will open on Berend Field with two games on the opening weekend first against the University of Alabama-Huntsville (Sept. 6) followed by The University of West Alabama (Sept. 8). After the home opener FSC hits the road to Memphis to compete in another non-conference battle where the Mocs will face Christian Brothers University (Sept. 13) and Delta State University (Sept. 15). 
 
Florida Southern returns home on Sept. 21 the Sunshine State Conference opener against Lynn University before traveling to Americus, Ga. for a non-conference match up against Georgia Southwestern on Sept. 25. The Mocs continue the pattern of back-and-forth home and away games for the next six games hosting Saint Leo University on Sept. 28, followed by Eckerd in St. Petersburg on Oct. 2. The Sailfish come north to Lakeland on Oct. 5 before the Mocs hit I4 to Winter Park for a rematch from last year's SSC quarterfinal game at Rollins on Oct. 9.  The last home game before back-to-back road matches is Oct. 16 where FSC hosts Tampa for a mid-week contest against the Spartans. 
 
The Mocs continue the regular season with two away matches, first Florida Tech (Oct. 19), followed by Nova Southeastern (Oct. 26).  To close out October Florida Southern hosts Embry-Riddle on Oct. 30 where the seniors will be honored for their dedication to the program.
 
The final conference game will be in Miami Shores on Nov. 2 facing the Bucs from Barry. To conclude the regular-season FSC host the Tritons for a non-conference match on Nov. 6. 
 
Florida Southern's schedule features three teams that made the NCAA tournament in 2023 in Lynn, Barry, and Florida Tech who advanced to the NCAA semifinals.
