LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 16 Florida Southern College men's swimming team won a top 25 dual meet after a win against No. 15 Lynn University at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool on Friday afternoon.

The Moccasins tallied 169 team points over 93 points by the Fighting Knights. FSC won nine of the events this dual meet, led by
Nino Viallon with two individual event wins.

The conference dual meet opened with the 400 medley relay as the A and B team for the Mocs took first and second, led by a team of
Brandon Wilson, Janek Barczyk, Viallon
, and
Matheus Da Rocha with a time of 3:18.99. Next,
Thomas Wooldridge (9:43.59) and
Bennett Baer (9:58.05) finished one and two in the 1000 free. Another 1-2 finish for FSC in the 200 free with
John Zeiger first with 1:43.26, narrowly beating
Clyde Crouse with a time of 1:43.63.

In the 100 back, Wilson had the best time of 50.36, followed by
Michael Tretyakov in second with 50.65. Barcyzk then won the 100 breast in 56.22 and
Peter Csicsaky in second in the 200 fly with 1:54.02. Before an intermission break to recognize FSC Faculty, Da Rocha won the 50 free in 20.75 with
Will Neville in second with 21.08. Viallon then won the 100 free in 45.80, followed by Da Rocha in second with 46.13.
Corbin Cole and
William King had podium spots in the 200 back, with times of 1:56.31 and 1:56.80, respectively.

For the 200 breast,
Travis Oleson was second in 2:09.07, followed by Csicsaky in second in the 500 free (4:42.51), just ahead of Wooldridge in third (4:46.46). In the 100 fly, Viallon won in 49.23, with
Cormac McKenney in third in 52.84. In the 200 IM,
Tristan Clanton finished second in 1:57.56, and
Gianni Famiano in third in 1:57.81. The final event of the meet was the 200 free relay as a team of Wilson, Da Rocha, Tretyakov, and Viallon finished first in 1:22.28.

The Mocs will have a quick turnaround and host No. 12 Nova Southeastern University tomorrow, Jan. 18, with an 11 a.m. start at the Wellness Center Pool.
