NEW ORLEANS – The Florida Southern College men's cross country team continues to climb in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll. The Moccasins entered the top 30 back on Oct. 1 at No. 20. Following a drop to No. 21 last week, the Mocs moved up six positions to come in No. 15 in the week five poll.
The Moccasins have two meet victories this season while also claiming a second-place finish in the season opener. In the pair of National Meets, the Mocs have a pair of top-10 finishes including a seventh-place showing at the Lucian Rosa Invite at the site of the 2025 National Championship and a sixth-place finish at the Lewis Crossover. FSC boasts victories over #18 Lewis, #19 Northwest Nazarene, #20 Alaska Anchorage, t-#21 Anderson, t-#21 Fort Lewis, #26 Walsh, #28 Alabama Huntsville and #30 Tiffin.

th in the nation according to FloTrack's College XC Rankings Presented By HOKA. While the rest of the Moccasin lineup has been putting up strong performances throughout the season. The road to the NCAA Championship begins in Lakeland, Fla. as the Mocs will run at home for both the Sunshine State Conference Championship as well as the NCAA South Region Championship.
FSC will close out the regular season tomorrow, Oct. 17 at 6:00 p.m. as the Mocs host the Ed Holloway Classic.
