PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — No. 25 Florida Southern College women's golf opened the NCAA National Championship Preview in sixth place after the first two rounds at PGA National on Monday afternoon.
Clare Gimpel paced the Mocs, finishing the opening day tied for eighth. She sits eight-over, with three birdies carded in the first round. McKinley Holding sits tied for 22nd, with a two round score of 156 (+12). The sophomore carded two birdies in the opening round.
Ava La Belle finished one stroke behind Holding, with a tied-27th, 157 (+13). Kaley Amuso and Taylor Zachary rounded out the Moccasin lineup, both finishing tied-47th. Both added two birdies on the day.
