Mocs Move to #16 in NABC Division II Coaches Poll

Florida Southern College men's basketball moved up to No. 16 in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll, after a 2-0 start in conference play.

The Moccasins have spent the last two weeks at No. 18 among the NCAA DII field, currently sitting at 8-1 overall and an undefeated start in a stacked Sunshine State Conference. FSC outlasted Saint Leo University in the SSC opener with an overtime win, followed by a home victory over Rollins College on Saturday. Nova Southeastern University is tabbed as No. 1 among DII, and Palm Beach Atlantic University is No. 17 to round out the SSC representation in the poll.

FSC is ranked No. 12 among DII institutions in scoring offense, averaging 93.9 points per game. Brady Corso serves as the team leader in points scored, with 16.8, followed closely by Amare Miller with 15.4. As a team, the Mocs are shooting .467 from the field and .382 from beyond the arc, led by Corso (.463), Jasir Tremble (.458), and Ameer Ramadan (.429). Facilitating the high-scoring offense, Charlie Dalton leads the team in assists per game at 3.6.

The fast-paced Moccasin squad meshes well with a strong defense, averaging over 10 steals per game and converting 19.44 fastbreak points a game (14th in DII). FSC has secured 13 steals on four different occasions so far in the 2025-26 season, highlighted by a career-high five by Ramadan against Clark Atlanta last month. As a team, the Mocs snag 40.7 boards a game, led by Miller with 7.7, who has three double-doubles on the year.

The Mocs will host Lincoln University tomorrow, Dec. 10, with a 7 p.m. start at Jenkins Field House, before hosting Barry University, Lees-McRae College, and Bentley University for the Mocs Christmas Classic on Dec. 19-20.
