LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Southern College baseball team is in the top 25 of the latest D2 Baseball poll ranked No. 24 among NCAA DII institutions.
 
The Mocs enter the week with a 5-1 overall record, having won the openings series against No. 14 West Florida, followed by a series sweep of Georgia Southwestern last weekend. Under the direction of head coach Rick O'Dette, the Moccasins have had a great start to the 2025 season, batting .310 as a team, led by Mikey Scott with a .520 average. History was made during the GSW series, with Jack Duffy hitting for the cycle for the first time since 2012 and just the 11^th time in program history.
 
FSC's pitching staff has made great strides as well in the early weeks, led by Friday night start Sachem Ramos with a 0.90 ERA and 2-0 record. Colby Rice has emerged as a closer for the Mocs with three saves already this year and a 0.00 ERA. FSC opponents have an ERA of 8.63, compared to 3.50 with the Mocs. A speedy set in the lineup, the Mocs are one of the Sunshine State Conference leaders in stolen bases, combined for 21-of-23, led by Jevin Relaford with a perfect 10-for-10.
 
The Mocs host Eckerd College in a midweek game tonight, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. at Henley Field and will host USC Beaufort this weekend Feb. 14-16.
