MCCORMICK, S.C. — Florida Southern College secured a second-place finish at the Savannah Lakes Women's Fall Invitational with a team score of 886, just 10 strokes behind the leader. Clare Gimpel and Ava La Belle both tied for sixth individually, each carding a 219 (+3) over the three rounds.
The Moccasins displayed consistent performance across the three rounds, improving from a 296 in the opening round to a 293 in the final round. Gimpel's steady play included an even-par 72 in the final round, while La Belle's second-round 70, two under par, was a highlight.
Kaley Amuso and Darby Hancock both tied for 21st with a total score of 226. Amuso's performance was strongest in the final round, where she shot a career-low 71, one under par. Hancock showed consistency with opening and closing rounds of 74. McKinley Holding, competing as an individual, placed 11th with a 221, including two even-par rounds of 72. Florida Southern's overall strong showing was marked by balanced scoring and standout individual performances.
