GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Southern College women's track saw another school record fall as junior
Grace Reed took down the 3,000m record by over 10 seconds to lead the Moccasins at the Alachua County Sports and Event Center Invitational. Reed broke the previous record held by
Emma Mussante (2022-25). Reed now holds both the freshman and overall program record in the 3,000m.

Reed opened the day in the 3,000m along with three others. The junior was the first NCAA Division II student-athlete to cross the finish as she placed third overall behind runners from UCF and FIU. She became the first Moccasin to run a sub-10 minute 3K as she crossed the line in 9:51.84. Classmate
Emma Pfeiffer was the next Moccasin across the finish as she placed 11
th overall with the seventh fastest 3,000m time in program history at 10:25.35.

Addison Sharp saw their first action on the track this season as they competed in the mile. Girouard led the pair as she took 23
rd in 5:48.97 while Sharp completed the distance in 6:10.89 to place 28
th.
