The 2026 Championship is being hosted by Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan. where temperatures will be in the low 60s when Reed takes to the track Thursday night.

Reed used a school record performance at the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State to earn the invitation in the 10000m. She posted a time of 34:54.20 at NCSU which ranks as the 16th-best time among those entered in the NCAA National Championship. She will be the lone representative in the race from the state of Florida as Allison Kuzma of Hillsdale has the top qualifying time of 33:10.83.
