GAINESVILLE, Fla. — It was another record-breaking day for the Florida Southern College women's indoor track team as the Moccasins competed at Legends of Alachua County Invitational. Junior
Grace Reed captured her second school-record of the season, this time in the mile, as she shaved over a second off the previous record held by Moccasin alum
Emma Mussante (2022-25).

Reed led a trio of Moccasins into the mile. She battled with several Flagler runners along with a USF athlete and a member of the William Carey track program. Reed took fourth overall finishing ahead of an unattached runner along with a pair of Flagler student-athletes. The junior cross the line in 5:02.25 to claim the record. Sophomore
Heloise Pinto came in just 10 spots back as she posted the third-fastest mile time this season for the Mocs as she crossed the finish line in 5:16.77. The final member of the trio was redshirt freshman
Mackenzie Toms who placed 36
th overall.

A pair of top-10 all-time performances came in the 5,000m as junior
Emma Pfeiffer and freshman
Reagan Chambless took to the track. Pfeiffer led the duo with a fifth-place finish while Chambless finished just two spots back in seventh. Pfeiffer posted the third-best performance all-time at FSC as she clocked in at 17:42.83. Chambless came across in 18:07.07 to claim the sixth-best time in program history.
