ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida Southern College women's track participated in the UCF Black & Gold Challenge, highlighted by sophomore Nika Gividen setting a new program record in the 800m, surpassing the previous record set in 2019 by nearly a second. 

Middle Distance  
In the 800m, Gividen placed 28th with a time of 2:16.98, setting a new school record by surpassing the previous mark of 2:17.63 set in 2019 by Hannah Flemming (2018-21). Junior Kira Mothershed secured 14th place in the 1500m Open with a time of 5:06.60.
