LAKELAND, Fla. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has released the final regional rankings of 2026 with the Florida Southern College men's tennis team ranked sixth in a stacked South Region.

After concluding the regular season last week, the Mocs finished with an overall record of 16-4 before heading to the Sunshine State Conference tournament with a 6-3 SSC record.Â

The Moccasins were named one of the 10 teams under consideration in last week's first regional rankings and are now sixth in the first rankings by order. Other SSC programs in the regional rankings include Barry (No. 1), Embry-Riddle (No.2), Nova Southeastern (No. 7), Lynn (No. 8), and Rollins (No. 9).
In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings,
Josie Holderbach climbed to No. 14 in the national rankings, marking one of the highest placements of her career. Teammate
Emily Jennewein also earned a spot in the rankings, coming in at No. 44 nationally.
Florida Southern's doubles teams also saw significant movement. The pairing of
Kennedi Brown and
Josie Holderbach surged into the top 20, landing at No. 20 overall after consistent performances in dual matches. Meanwhile, the duo of
Emily Jennewein and Scheuermann re-entered the national rankings, coming in at No. 47.
The tournament champion will earn an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship. Regional competition will be held May 8-12 at non-predetermined sites, with the finals scheduled for May 19-23 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise. The championships will be hosted by the Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise, with selections announced May 5.
