DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Southern College women's track team showcased strong performances at the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday as FSC finished sixth overall with 22 total points. Sophomore
Nika Gividen impressed in the 1500m, securing fifth place with a time of 4:44.14.
Middle Distance Â
In the 1500m, Gividen secured 5th place with a time of 4:44.14, earning four team points. The time is good for seventh all-time in the FSC Record Book. Sophomore
Heloise Pinto finished 12th in 4:52.62, junior
Grace Reed was 16th in 4:56.90, and senior
Caitlin Beery placed 18th with a time of 4:58.44.

Rachel Hockenberry finished ninth with a time of 19:38.24.Â

The 4x100m relay team, consisting of freshman
Reagan Chambless, junior
Kira Mothershed, freshman
Hope Schoenwetter, and junior
Emma Pfeiffer, finished seventh with a time of 58.74, earning two points. The time is second in the FSC Record Book and marks just the second time FSC has entered a 4x100m relay event. In the 4x400m relay, the team of Gividen, Pinto, Mothershed, and Beery placed eighth with a time of 4:13.43, scoring a point, and posting the third-fastest 4x400m relay in program history.
Team Scoring
The University of Tampa secured its second-straight team championship with 169 points. Host Embry-Riddle took second with 103 points while Nova Southeastern rounded out the top-three with 79 points. Barry secured fourth with 39 points followed by Lynn in fifth with 23. The Mocs just missed out on fifth by one point as they finished with 22 and in sixth-place. Saint Leo placed seventh with 18 points followed by Palm Beach Atlantic (11) and Eckerd (3). Â Â
