JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A quartet of Moccasins represented the Florida Southern College men's track team at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. Friday evening. FSC competed in both the 1,500m and 5,000m against a highly competitive field.
Freshmen
Skyler Jensen and
Jack Girard were the first two Mocs to the track as they competed in the 1,500m. Jensen completed the distance in 4:01.90 to place 22
nd overall, fourth among NCAA Division II competitors. Girard crossed the finish just over seven seconds later at 4:08.92 to claim 30
th.
Freshman
Parker Graham and sophomore
Andrew Nyland closed out the day in the 5,000m. Graham was the first NCAA Division II finisher as he placed 10
th overall with the sixth-best time this season for FSC at 15:03.77. Nyland just missed out on a top-10 season performance as his time of 15:15.65 ranks 11
th this season for FSC. The performance earned him 15
th overall.
The Moccasins competed in nine meets during the 2026 season including the second annual Sunshine State Conference Outdoor Track Championships, where they placed third. Senior
Chris Colavita tied the school record in the 5,000m while Graham set a new freshman record in the 3,000m steeplechase. The Moccasins also currently hold four of the top-10 spots in the 10,000m among South Region athletes while holding two spots in the 5,000m and one in the 800m.
