Mistretta Joins Five From Men's Lacrosse as CSC Academic All-District Winners

Jacob Czyz, Jack Epley, Charlie Fisher, Alex Haughn, and Maddux Walton were selected as Academic All-District Winners from men’s lacrosse, while Tyler Mistretta was selected as an Academic All-District winner from men’s golf.

LAKELAND, Fla. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2026 Academic All-District At-Large Teams have been released, including five from the Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team and one from the Florida Southern College men's golf team. 
 
Jacob Czyz, Jack Epley, Charlie Fisher, Alex Haughn, and Maddux Walton were selected as Academic All-District Winners from men's lacrosse, while Tyler Mistretta was selected as an Academic All-District winner from men's golf. 
 
Czyz earned Academic All-District honors after an incredible year for the Mocs. Named a USILA First Team All-American, Czyz was named SSC Specialist of the Week 11 times in his career, including three times this season. He ranked second in the NCAA in ground balls per game (10.69) and seventh in face-off winning percentage (.677) while leading the conference in both categories. He scored six goals this season, giving him 20 for his career. He had double-digit faceoff wins in 15 of the 16 contests in which he appeared, including a season-high of 23 versus Adams State. He had seven double-digit ground ball performances with a season-best 19 versus Adams State. 
 
Epley, an Oakwood, Ohio native, earned academic honors this year after making his first appearance on the All-SSC list in his final season in Lakeland. The senior appeared in every contest this season while making 13 starts. He tallied six goals and five assists to finish with 11 points. He tallied a single goal over six contests, with the most recent coming versus Embry-Riddle in the regular season finale. He handed out a season-best two assists on the road at Saint Leo. He also earned six caused turnovers, including a season-high two versus Saint Leo.    
 
Fisher, a junior from Odessa, Fla., started all 14 of his games played this year, leading the team in caused turnovers (21). He added 36 ground balls and five points on the field. A goal scorer in a big win over Rollins, Fisher also had four assists in 2026, including two against Adams State. 
 
Haughn, a Powell, Ohio native, had a big year, finishing the season with his first All-SSC honor. The junior started all 15 contests on defense for the Moccasins. He finished second on the team with 19 caused turnovers as well as 41 ground balls. He had a season-high three caused turnovers versus Rockhurst as well as versus Rollins in the opening round of the SSC Championship. He also scooped up a season-high six ground balls versus Rockhurst as well. 
 
Walton, a Columbia, Md. product, started all 16 contests for the Mocs while leading the team in goals (40) and points (54) while ranking second in assists (14). He tallied nine hat tricks this season, with a season-high five goals coming against Adams State. Over the final four contests, including a pair of victories over Rollins, he scored 11 goals and handed out a pair of assists while tallying eight or more shots in each of the four games. He currently ranks second in the conference in goals per game (2.41) while ranking 11th in assists per game (0.88). His 3.29 points per game average ranks third in the league. 
 
Mistretta finished off his collegiate career as part of the 2026 National Championship team. He shot a career-low 64 in the final round of stroke play at the National Championship, and a career-low three-round score of 205, finishing third (10-under). The graduate student went 2-1 in match play of the National Championship and was one of the three to win in the championship match against Wingate. Mistretta was named a PING All-American Third Team, PING All-South Team, and All-SSC Second Team. He finished the season with three top-10 finishes and a Clippd ranking of #27. This is his third CSC Academic All-District honor, with a career GPA of 3.93 in the Master of Business Administration program. 
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
NCAA eligible sports that are included in the At-Large category include Women's Beach Volleyball, Women's Bowling, Women's Crew/Rowing, Men's and Women's Fencing, Women's Field Hockey, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Gymnastics, Men's and Women's Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Rifle, Men's and Women's Skiing, Men's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Water Polo, and Men's Wrestling
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
