ORLANDO - With Jude Eustaquio, Danny Evelyn and Matt Stauch each shooting the final round under par, the Moccasins pulled ahead of first-round leader Lander and claimed a one-stroke victory at the Coker Invitational at Orange County National Golf Course here Tuesday.
It's the fourth straight year FSC has won or finished second in the tournament. The Moccasins won in 2005 and had finished second each of the last two years.
Lander had taken a two-stroke lead over the Moccasins into the final round, but FSC responded with a 286, the best round of the day, to finish at 568, one better than Lander.
Eustaquio shot a three-under-par 69 for the second straight day to finish in second place at 138. Evelyn came in with a two-under-par 70 in the final round to finish one stroke behind Eustaquio in third place at 139. Stauch had a one-under-par final round of 71 and tied for fifth at 141. Georgia Southwestern's Adam McKinney was tournament medalist with a 136, two better than Eustaquio. Rounding out FSC's scoring, Brian Richey tied for 44th with a 150 and Josh Koch placed 60th with 162.
The Moccasins' next tournament will be the Columbus College Invitational Oct. 6-7 at Columbus, Ga.
