NORMAN, Okla. – The Florida Southern men's golf team has moved up to second in the most recent Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches poll.
Florida Southern improves to second after falling to fourth in the March 6th poll. #2 is the highest rank the Florida Southern has reached in the Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches poll this season. The Mocs have had a successful spring campaign with two team titles and three individual titles in 2026 so far.
Donte Groppuso took the individual title at the Matlock Collegiate Classic to open the spring, before the team won the Saint Leo Invitational the following week. Max Barile took first in the Las Vegas Desert Classic hosted at the site of the 2026 NCAA DII National Championship. Most recently, the Mocs picked up their second team title of 2026, with Colton Swartz earning his first individual title of the year.
With wins in three of their first four spring tournaments, including the Southeastern Collegiate on March 10 by three strokes, West Florida continued atop the Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll for the second consecutive poll. The Argonauts earned 13 first-place votes and 373 points on March 27. Florida Southern, Grand Valley State (two first-place votes), Wingate, and Georgia Southwestern rounded out the top five, while Lee, Catawba, Central Oklahoma, Columbus State, and St. Mary's (TX) completed the top 10.
